20th Anniversary Celebration

On October 2nd, Back Creek Yacht Club celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a Gala Event at the Yellow Fin in Annapolis Maryland. Activities included a Silent Auction, Change of Watch Ceremony, Annual Meeting, dining and dancing to a live band. The event was organized by Rosie Cavin and Emcee Dave Brashears.

Labor Day Eastern Shore BBQ


On September 4th, Jo Anne & Glenn Crowder hosted an Eastern Shore BBQ at the Safe Harbor Oxford Marina. Bakyakkers and guests feasted on BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, Carolina style pork sliders catered by Latitude 38. The food was absolutely fabulous and abundent!!!

BCYC 2021 Labor Day Raft Up

On September 3rd, 14 Bakyakkers and Guests rendezvoused at Baby Owl Cove on their way to the Club's Labor Day Festivities in Oxford.  Exotic heavy hors d'oeuvres were enjoyed on Lux, followed by a spectacular evening on the water.

BCYC Crab Feast 2021

On August 7th, Tim Feldmann and Jae Hamilton hosted our 2021 Crab Feast at Haven Harbor South in Rock Hall MD.  Tim and Jae tactfully steered the rainy weather clear of Rock Hall for the event. All declared they were the biggest, fullest, and yummiest crabs we have ever had!!!

2021 Shakedown Cruise

On May 22nd, Lynn Egan and Justin Tindale opened the boating season with a Shakedown Cruise.  35 Bak-yakers were treated to a Greek inspired feast at their home off of Rock Creek.

Stuart Beach Happy Hour


On April 29th, BCYC South gathered at Stuart Beach for the final event of the season hosted by Pam and John Loving.

Zoom Joke Night


Molly Stone hosted a Zoom Joke Night on April 17th. Featured was a presentation by Pat Thayer on his year as BCYC's 2nd Commodore in 2002.

St Patty's Day Event


Bak-yakers in the South were treated to a St Patty's Day Event hosted by Ben & Candy Wilson at their new home in Traditions Fl.  The event was held outside on their lanai and featured a traditional feast of corned beef & cabbage with all of the Irish sides.  Entertainment was directed by Rear Commodore John Yates with BCYC Secretary Christine O'Soucy and Guy Collins performing an Irish Jig.

Red Wine, Chocolate & Limericks


Bak-yakers gathered on 13 February to drink red wine, eat "chocolate" chili and enjoy listening to humorous limericks. Hosts Juliana Nedd and JJ Sullivan, were joined by former Commodore Ed Evans who shared an enlightening history of of the Club in 2005.

20th Anniversary Wine Tasting


A toast celebrating our 20th Anniversary on Zoom with our illustrious first Commodore John Campbell and wife Carole was held on 24 January. The Campbells shared the history of our club and the designing of our burgee. Followed by wine tasting hosted by Vern & Dorothy Penner and Limoncello postprandial by Rosie Cavin.
